Creating a Lineage 2 Interlude Server
Downloading the files
Java - A technology used to develop applications that make using the internet more interesting and convenient.
MySQL 5.1 Win 64 - Database management system. All server information will be stored in this database.
Navicat - A database administration tool.
Server Build - Lineage 2 Interlude.
System - Download the Interlude system folder from the list.
Game Client - Lineage 2 Interlude game client.
Installation
Java - No explanation needed.
MySQL 5.1 - See the screenshots.
Navicat - Installation should be straightforward. After installing, launch Navicat and create a new connection. Name the database interlude. See the screenshots below.
Server Build - Extract it to a drive with plenty of free space.
Installing authserver tables:
Find mysql_settings.bat in Drive:\interlude\authserver\sql\mysql_settings.bat. Open it in Notepad, find the MySQL password line, and replace it with the password you entered during MySQL setup. Save the file.

In the same folder, run install.bat.

Installing gameserver tables:
Find mysql_settings.bat in Drive:\interlude\gameserver\sql\mysql_settings.bat. Open it in Notepad, find the MySQL password line, and replace it with the password you entered during MySQL setup. Save the file.

In the same folder, run install.bat.

Connecting the database:
Go to Drive:\interlude\gameserver\config and open server.properties. Find the MySQL password line and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.
Next, go to Drive:\interlude\authserver\config and open authserver.properties. Find the MySQL password line and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.
Registering the server:
Open Navicat, go to the database interlude, find the table gameservers, open it and add server_id: 1, host: 127.0.0.1.

Starting the server:
You can now start the server. Go to the authserver folder and run StartAuthServer.bat. Then go to the gameserver folder and run StartGameServer.bat.
System - Copy this folder into the game client folder, replacing all files. Once the server has started, run l2.exe from the system folder. Enter your username and password (automatic registration).
Giving a character administrator privileges:
Create a character, open Navicat, and find the table characters, open it and find the row obj_Id. Copy the character's ID.
Go to Drive:\interlude\gameserver\config and open GMAccess.xml. Find PlayerID set="0" and replace 0 with your character ID.
Configuring internet access:
First, open ports 2106, 9014, and 7777.
Next, find your internal IP address. Open Network Connections, double-click your local area connection, and select Properties or Details. Look for the IPv4 Address field.
Now find your external IP address. You can check it on the website 2ip.ua.
Go to Drive:\interlude\gameserver\config and open server.properties. Find ExternalHostname, InternalHostname, and LoginHost, and enter your IP addresses as shown in the screenshots below.
Then go to Drive:\interlude\authserver\config and open authserver.properties. Find LoginHost and enter your internal IP address.

In the System folder, find l2.ini. Open it with File Edit, find ServerAddr, and replace its value with your external IP address.

You have successfully launched your home Lineage 2 Interlude server to explore an older version of the game.
