How to Set Up a Lineage 2 Infinite Odyssey Server

How to set up your own Lineage 2 Infinite Odyssey server.

Downloads

Java - a technology used to develop applications that make the Internet more engaging and convenient.
MySQL 5.1 Win 64 - a database management system that will store all server information.
Navicat - a database management tool.
Server build - Lineage 2 Infinite Odyssey.
System - download the Infinite Odyssey system folder from the list.
Game client - Lineage 2 Infinite Odyssey.

Installation

Java - no explanation needed.

Navicat - installation should be straightforward. Once installed, launch Navicat and create localhost. Name the database vlemon. See the screenshots below.

Server build - extract it to a drive with plenty of free space.
Find the database_installer.bat file at Drive:\server\tools\database_installer.bat. Open it, locate the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Save the file and run DataBase Installer.bat.

Installing the server database tables:

Go to Drive:\server\game\config and open Server.properties. Find the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Next, go to Drive:\server\login\config and open LoginServer.properties. Find the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Run RegisterGameServer.bat from Drive:\server\login. Select options 1 and 5 as shown in the screenshot. A hexid.txt file will appear in the folder. Copy it to Drive:\server\game\config.

System - copy it to the game client folder (remove the client’s old system folder). Once the server is running, launch l2.exe from the system folder. Enter a username and password (automatic account registration) and enjoy playing on your own Lineage 2 Infinite Odyssey..

How to grant administrator access (create a character first) - open Navicat. Find and open the characters table, then locate the accesslevel, and enter the value 100.

Having trouble starting the server?

1. Remove all installed Java versions and install the version specified in this guide.

2. Missing file: jvm.dll Follow this link to resolve the issue.

3. "Java is not recognized as an internal or external command" Follow this link to resolve the issue.

4. Check that the server path does not contain Cyrillic characters.
