How to Set Up a Lineage 2 Lindvior Server

Setting Up Your Own Lineage 2 Lindvior Server

Download the required files

Java — a technology used to develop applications that make the Internet more engaging and convenient.
MySQL 5.1 Win 64 — a database management system that will store all server information.
Navicat — a database management tool.
Server build - Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction Lindvior.
System — download the Lindvior system folder from the list.
Game client - Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction Lindvior.

Installation

Java — no explanation needed.

MySQL 5.1 — see the screenshots.

Navicat — installation should be straightforward. After installing, launch Navicat and create a connection to localhost. Name the database dbvlemon. See the screenshots below.

Server build — extract it to a drive with plenty of free space.
Find database_installer.bat at Drive:\lindviorserver\tools\database_installer.bat. Open it in Notepad, locate the MySQL password setting and replace it with the password you configured in MySQL.

Save the file and run database_installer.bat.

 

Installing the server database tables:

Go to Drive:\lindviorserver\gameserver\config and open Server.ini. Locate the MySQL password setting and replace it with the password you configured in MySQL.

Then go to Drive:\lindviorserver\loginserver\config and open LoginServer.ini. Locate the MySQL password setting and replace it with the password you configured in MySQL.

Launch Navicat, find the gameservers table, and open it. In the first field, server_id , enter 1. In the second field, host , enter 127.0.0.1. Save the table.

System — copy it into the client directory (delete the old system directory first). Once the server has started, run the following file from the system directory: l2.exe. Enter your username and password (accounts are registered automatically) and enjoy playing on your own server: Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction Lindvior..

How to grant administrator access — open Navicat. Find the table charactersand copy your character's obj_ID.

Then open GMAccess.xml at Drive:\lindviorserver\gameserver\config\xml and enter your character ID in the appropriate line.

You have successfully launched your own Lineage 2 Lindvior home server for exploring older versions of the game.

Having trouble starting the server?

1. Uninstall all versions of Java and install the version specified in this guide. 

2. Missing file: jvm.dll Follow this link to resolve the issue. 

3. "Java is not recognized as an internal or external command" Follow this link to resolve the issue. 

4. Make sure the path to your server does not contain Cyrillic characters.
