How to set up a Lineage 2 Scions of Destiny (C4) server.

Downloads

Java - a technology used to develop applications that make the Internet more engaging and convenient.
MySQL 5.1 Win 64 - a database management system that stores all server information.
Navicat - a database management tool.
Server build - Lineage 2 Scions of Destiny.
System - download the Scions of Destiny (C4) system folder from the list.
Game client - Lineage 2 Scions of Destiny client.

Installation

Java - no explanation needed.

Navicat - installation should be straightforward. Once installed, launch Navicat and create localhost. Name the database jbdb. See the screenshots below.

Server build - extract it to a drive with plenty of free space.

Find database_installer.bat at Drive:\serverC4\tools\database_installer.bat. Open it, locate the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Save the file and run database_installer.bat.

Go to Drive:\serverC4\game\config\network and open database.properties. Find the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Next, go to Drive:\serverC4\login\config\network and open database.properties. Find the line password from mysql and replace it with the password you entered in MySQL.

Run register-gs.bat from Drive:\serverC4\login. Select option 1 as shown in the screenshot. A hexid.txt file will appear in the folder. Copy it to Drive:\serverC4\game\config\network.

System - copy it to the game client folder (remove the client’s old system folder). Once
the server is running, launch l2.exe from the system folder. Enter a username and
password (automatic account registration).

How to grant administrator access to a character (create a character first) - open Navicat. Find and open the characters table, then locate the accesslevel, enter 100.

You have successfully launched your own Scions of Destiny (C4) server to explore an older version of the game.


Having trouble starting the server?
1. Remove all installed Java versions and install the version specified in this guide.
2. Missing file: jvm.dll
